Finnish producer Renny Harlin was born in Riihimaki (Finland) March 15, 1959.
He started his career with shooting documentary and short films in his homeland.
He moved to Hollywood in the late 1980s in order to find recognition all over the world.
His producer's debut in the cinema took place in 1986 in the thriller "Born American".
Then two more movies "Prison" (1988) and "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Lord of Sleep" (1988) were released.
The last movie was successful and went on to gross more than 40 million, with a budget of 13 million.
World fame comes to the producer after the release of the long-awaited "Die Hard 2" (1990), where Bruce Willis played the main role.
The movie grossed a little less than $ 250 million and bring its creator the status as one of the best producer of the genre "action".
